Our sound and lighting technicians are included in the price of the rental, and will be on hand from start to finish to ensure excellent sound and presentation, as well as a smooth set-up of equipment. Boondock Bay had a new state of the art sound system installed in February 2005 and it sounds great!

If you would prefer to have recorded music at your event, we can fulfill that request as well. Boondock Bay is equipped with a state of the art DJ booth. We can book a DJ for the event, or you may select your own. He or she is welcome to use our equipment, we simply require a run-through with our tech staff to ensure proper usage.

Boondock Bay has several catering options. As we do have an in-house kitchen and chef, our staff caters many of our private parties. They will be eager to work with you to come up with just the right menu to suit your client's budget and culinary tastes. We are just as happy to have an outside catering company provide the food for the event. They are free to use our kitchen, but we would require a $500 kitchen usage/clean-up fee. Our room works really well with passed hors d'oeuvres and buffet stations, but we can also organize seated dinners and luncheons. It is most important that you feel confident with the planning, so we will try to accommodate your wishes whenever possible.

The price of our room rental includes full bar and wait staff. Private functions can operate either on a cash or open bar basis. You may also wish to combine the two, specifying several drinks as complimentary, with all others available on a cash basis.

Boondock Bay is available for private rentals both evenings and days. We generally book our shows one to three months ahead of time and are eager to schedule private events around our live schedule. Sundays through Thursdays offer the most flexibility in terms of availability. Fridays and Saturdays are the most important nights for our live schedule. As a result, though these nights are by no means out of the question for private rentals, they are rarely available and are accordingly more expensive. It is always worth a quick phone call to check on our availabilities for any day of the week. If we have nothing scheduled, we can write in a "hold" for you while you make a decision.

Daytime: Because daytime events are often less elaborate than evening events and are not strictly "bar" events, we negotiate daytime fees depending on what the function entails. Obviously an afternoon press conference would be less labor intensive than a full nighttime party, and we would charge accordingly.

The fee for our room rental includes a full staff--door staff/ushers, coat check, house manager, sound and lighting technicians, and a full bar and wait staff. It does not include any expenses incurred through catering, decorations, or entertainment. It does not include advertising, though special arrangements can always be made quite easily at some additional cost.
